Peppercorn and Manderinli |
Peppercorn is a little smaller, but much quicker off the mark. Manderinli is the big brother, but in spite of his slight size advantage, they're evenly matched for games of "search and annoy."
It's fun discovering their personalities. We have a built in cupboard in the corner of the kitchen- they come up through the bottom and sleep in there sometimes. Don't know why, they seem to feel safe here and never run away from us or even visitors that they don't know. They just seem to like it there. Maybe I can make a photograph before they get too big. We've ordered a biggish cat jungle gym/scratching post for them to inhabit during the winter, until we let them out in the spring. Perhaps it will keep them off the Christmas tree. Ha.

They're so cute!
They rather remind me of Bonnie and Rufus when they were tiny.
I demand more photos now!
Try facebook Prickles; there are more photos there... I will post more here too, eventually, but what I'm really trying to get to work is the short film I took of Peppercorn playing in her water dish.
I'm such a technoignoramus!
After the conversations on Facebook I've looked back at some of your older posts. I wish I'd found your blog sooner! Commenting on those older posts would seem odd now, since I'm guessing you're in a different place but what that place is I can't guess.
It's weird about blogs. I was going to recycle some of my 2008 posts but I'm in a very different place now. I hadn't met Bevie in 2008 and he became one of my closest friends. Last year my Mum died (at around this time) and then in May Bevie died.
It feels impossible to go back. I'm sure there are stories in there somewhere!
By the way, I don't have your email address. You can always email me at willwritefordonuts.fairyhedgehog@recursor.net or my email is in the sidebar of my blog.
They are so darling!!
New cats.
What a treat.
When are you replacing your wardrobe?
Five months after it wanders off and fails to come home, just like the cat.
Awwwwwww. Serious attack of the cutes.
Yeah, going back can be a challenge sometimes. We do change, thankfully. Means if it was crap then, it could be better now and if it's crap now it can be better later. And there's always more crap and more good stuff to look forward to getting through in the future.
Yes, Prickles and Sarah. It is odd; it's not that we're such different people, but I'm certainly not in the same place. I'm sorry about your Mum, Prickles, and Bevie I remember.
It's not like we forget them, but we hack through and move on; the other option is to stay stuck in, as Sarah says, the 'crap.' And, really, that's the last thing any of them would want for us.

Has the cat tree arrived yet? Our cats still sleep on theirs.
